Brian passed away in 1994 after a battle with Cancer. Brian attended and graduated from the University of Kansas. While at KU, Brian served as the student manager of the men's basketball team under both Ted Owens and Larry Brown. After graduation from KU, Brian moved to Downers Grove, Illinois where he served as a successful actuary for Safeco Insurance in downtown Chicago until his death. Brian was such a well-rounded individual with a love for sports and the arts. For instance, at Shawnee Mission South he served on the crew for many of the theatrical productions and one of his favorite high school memories was a trip to New York with the theater department to see a variety of broadway and off broadway productions. At the time of his death, Brian was engaged to be married. For all of those who knew and loved Brian, he will always be dearly missed.

I knew Brian through theatre. We became friends when he was designing the lighting for "Camelot" and I was doing the sets. Even when the shit was coming down, Brian would always keep his cool and handle the situation with humor.

Brian had such a good-natured disposition and a sharp-wit, it's a shame to see such a kind soul pass away.

But your still alive in our thoughts and memories, Brian.
